Complexity and Interaction-based Simulations for COmputational Finance
About
CISCo, which stands for Complexity and Interaction-based Simulations for COmputational Finance, is a join multi-disciplinary project of two labs from the University of Lille 1:
- computer scientists from the SMAC team of LIFL (UMR USTL/CNRS 8022)
- economists from the MITIC team of LEM (UMR USTL/CNRS 8179)
The main purpose of the project is to study socioeconomic complex systems with the help of computer based simulations adapted to test innovative financial theoretical hypotheses. We also try to understand and explain financial behavior using multi-agents systems. In this perspective members of the project are, for instance, experts in setting up and interpreting interaction-based simulations on artificial market. We use extensively our own software tools and models.
